Michael Holt: Week 7 Recap

Week 7 has been a lot of work in the lab. Dr. Lawson has been helping Jonathan and I with stem and leaf staining. I didn’t expect to enjoy the lab work as much as I did, but it was awesome to be able to see the cells of different tree tissues. We started working on our final presentation and final manuscript, and I’m kind of nervous about finishing it on time! Being able to work inside instead of out in the heat all day was much needed, but I still really enjoyed our field work. I’m super grateful for the opportunity to participate in this program, and I’m looking forward to our last week coming up soon!
