Jackson Keesling: Week 4 Recap
We are now in the heart of our program, our research is in full swing, and I couldn’t be having a better time. This past week I dealt with the poison ivy I acquired the week before while setting up some of our camera trapping sites. I took it a little slow as a result and sadly had to do more office work than I would’ve liked to. Nonetheless, I was able to learn many new skills, mainly about developing scientific papers. We had guest speakers every afternoon and each speaker gave us insight into natural resources and how to further ourselves in our careers. Next week will be our first full week of data collection and analysis, and we’re all excited to see our hard work finally pay off. Recently, we took a day trip to Turkey Run and I was able to grow more closely with the friends I have made in this program. Well this is the halfway point, time to finish strong!
