Jackson Keesling: Week 1 Recap

My first week on the job was nothing short of eventful as I made new friends and met many new mentors. I’ve already begun making connections with people and expanding my professional circle. This week I have learned so many different skills and tips to create the best possible research project and finally settled on an idea for what I would like to research this summer. This past Sunday, we also got to go to the Indiana Dunes National Park where we learned many surprising facts about what makes the Dunes one one of the most biodiverse places on the planet. I cannot wait to work with the high school students this coming week and introduce more people to the amazing field of FNR!
