Alexis Proudman: Week 4 Recap

So basically, my project just got real. One day there were maybe 20 cicadas and the next there were like 1300. It took me an hour and a half just to count them all, and I started questioning my sanity! Hopefully I will get my revenge next week when we eat some of them.

Besides that, we saw a few coyotes on our camera traps this week as well as some animals we’ve named like Henrieta the turkey, Dan the back-scratching racoon, and Jack the woodpecker. Dan’s my favorite though, but don’t tell Henrieta!

One of my favorite parts of the week was visiting the Columbian Park Zoo on Memorial Day and petting goats in the petting zoo exhibit. I LOVE goats! They’re definitely one of my favorite animals. There was one baby goat who was just laying there being cute, and I could’ve died right there a happy woman!
