This last week was an utter blast. I love research but outreach holds a special place in my heart. I truly believe that we really need to make an impact with those that are going to hold our future in their hands and what better way to do that than to help them to appreciate the great outdoors, starting with what lives and breathes in their own backyards! We have a few outreach events that we were gearing up for, for ages ranging from 8 year olds to the general public. And with the assistance of another group of high school students that were interested in the place where education and natural resources intersect, the interns were able to design, test and modify activities their activities for the different audiences we will be interacting with.

This week we also challenged them to submit their best field photo into a competition.
